Enjoy the hilarious and bizarre adventures of Octodad, the under cover octopus!
This unique and genuinely funny game, developed by DePaul university in Chicago, is about a male octopus masquerading as a human, while trying to hide his real identity from the human family he has grown to love.
The aim of the game is to perform various everyday (for a human) tasks and maintain the subterfuge successfully. Strangely, no one notices the octopus shaped head of the mysterious Dad figure!
The game has two control modes, arm and leg, which can be engaged with the space bar. "A" and "D" let the player look around, while the mouse controls the extra octopus limbs that you struggle to conceal. It is extremely difficult to control the undercover eight limb impostor. However, this is not a criticism of the game, it is intentional to evoke sympathy for the attempts of a cephalopod mollusk with eight boneless limbs to master mundane tasks so easy for the upright primates who dominate the world above sea level. Even a task like walking means controlling one "leg" at a time, whilst wobbling awkwardly. Once the "simplest" human tasks have been mastered, players feel a sense of accomplishment and pride as well as sympathy for the fumbling sea creature.
The game has a strong emotional resonance as well as a humorous undercurrent. It is impossible not to feel sympathy for the eight limb mollusk protagonist as he is the proverbial "fish out of water" in our world. The message of empathy hidden behind the farcical slap stick humor is proof of the maturity and evolution of modern gaming, and is a refreshing alternative to the violence of the likes of the "Call of Duty" franchise or the predictability of the endless movie tie ins. In fact, it is not hard to envisage an innovative animation studio like Disney Pixar or Nickelodeon adapting the premise of the game into a cartoon movie or television cartoon series for kids of all ages.

Go undercover as a father who is really an octopus in the Octodad game.
This is a rather fun game once you get past the outdated graphics. You're an octopus in the game, but you have taken an undercover job as a father who has a human family and a job. Your goal is to hide the fact that you are an octopus, but with your large head and eight arms, it is sometimes hard for people not to know that you're a sea creature.
One of the things that you have to keep in mind is that the family needs chores completed, but with all of your arms, it's kind of hard to clean. It's also hard to do any kind of tasks at work, such as writing or typing. There are also things that you have to do in front of random people to prove that you're not an octopus and that you're really a person. Some of the people are easy to get past, but there are a few that will make it difficult for you to get to the next level.
There are only two things that you will have to control in the game: You will control the legs, making sure that they walk and act like human legs, and you'll control the head. The head is a little easier because there are not multiple heads that you have to keep from moving. When you can only control one leg at a time, it sometimes makes it hard to walk, which is why so many think that you're far from human. There are a few different camera angles that give better views of how you look while you're in front of a group.
